Amber Holloway named new Assistant City Manager

 

 

The City of Vandalia is pleased to announce the appointment of Amber L. Holloway as Assistant City Manager.

A native of Sidney, Holloway is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a bachelor’s degree in City and Regional Planning. She is currently working toward her Master of Public Administration at Wright State University.

She has served as Vandalia’s City Planner since March, 2015.

Prior to coming to Vandalia, she served as a Planner for The Corradino Group in Miami, Florida, where she worked as a Planning Consultant for several municipalities including Homestead and Cutler Bay.

As Assistant City Manager, Holloway will play an active role in community and economic development. She will serve as the primary Vandalia contact for the business community, and will work to assist companies interested in relocating to Vandalia. In addition strengthening economic opportunity,  she will work to enhance the quality of life for residents through planning and development efforts that strengthen downtown and promote pride and identity in the community.

Holloway will step in to the role vacated by Greg Shackelford, who is leaving after nearly seven years in the position. Holloway will assume her new duties on Tuesday, January 2.
