Art Park Opening Day is June 3

Opening day for the Vandalia Art Park will be Saturday, June 3, at 1 p.m.

The Park will be unveiling four projects:

  1. Unveiling of 2017 Images Exhibit “Kidstagram.” This exhibit features photographs submitted by local citizens and organizations. This exhibit is sponsored by the Vandalia Cultural Arts and the Ohio Arts Council.
  2. Mandalas colored by the public will be laminated and hung on the reverse side of the “Kidstagram” photographs at the Vandalia Art Park. This project is sponsored by Vandalia Cultural Arts.
  3. Unveiling of eight sculptures from Midwest Sculpture Initiative for the 2017-18 “Art Parked” Sculpture Exhibit. The Public Arts in Vandalia (PAIV) Committee with additional sponsorship from the Vandalia Cultiral Arts Program (VCAP) are excited to present the third annual “Art Parked” Sculpture Exhibit 2017-18, a free outdoor sculpture exhibit on display through April, 2018 at the Vandalia Art Park.
  4. Sculpture Benches in the Park. Todd Frahm, North Carolina, will be putting the final touches on two limestone benches to be placed at the park. The public can view the carving taking place at the Vandalia Art Park, 256 E. Alkaline Springs Road, on June 1-3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
