Request for Proposals

 Vandalia Parks and Recreation Department Seeking Proposals for Renovations to Cassel Hills Swimming Pool Feature Pool

The City of Vandalia is seeking proposals for renovations to the Feature Pool at Cassel Hills Swimming Pool located at 1061 Taylorsview Drive, Vandalia, OH 45377.  There are neither existing plans nor specifications for the Feature Pool renovation project.  Proposers are encouraged to look at the information available and develop a proposal they feel will best serve the entire facility, which includes the 10,000 gallon zero depth entry feature pool.  It is important that the proposals are complete and succinct, as a contract will be awarded based on the adjudged value of the proposal.   

The request for proposal is intended to encourage companies to clearly show that they are qualified to provide the necessary equipment, engineering, materials and manpower needed for renovations to the Feature Pool.  Request for Proposal packets are available on the City’s website – www.vandaliaohio.org.  Please direct questions to Mr. Steve Clark, Parks and Recreation Director, via email at sclark@vandaliaohio.org, or by phone at 937-415-2336.  Interested respondents will need to participate in a guided tour of the Cassel Hills Swimming Pool Feature Pool by arranging a date and time for a tour with Director Clark.  The deadline for submitting a proposal will be Thursday, July 6 at 5:00 p.m.

All proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as “CASSEL HILLS SWIMMING POOL FEATURE POOL RENOVATION PROJECT” and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADRESS of the proposer on the envelope. 

 The city reserves the right to waive informalities and reject any or all proposals.

CURB & SIDEWALK REPLACEMENT & RESURFACING OF VARIOUS STREETS

RFQ: REWRITE OF PART TWELVE: PLANNING & ZONING CODE

Statements of Qualifications will be received by the City Planner of the City of Vandalia, Ohio, 333 James E. Bohanan Memorial Drive, until 11:00 a.m. on March 23, 2017 for the Rewrite of the Vandalia Zoning Code for the City of Vandalia, Ohio. 

The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and instructions may be examined and obtained at the office of the Director of Public Service at 333 James E. Bohanan Memorial Drive, Vandalia, OH   45377.

NOTICE TO BIDDER

     The City of Vandalia will receive sealed proposals for the purchase and installation of police equipment for new 2017 Ford utility patrol vehicles for the Division of Police.  The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. in the Division of Police Community Room.

     Copies of the specifications are on file and may be obtained in the office of the Police Chief at 245 James E. Bohanan Memorial Drive, Vandalia, Ohio.  They may be picked up on Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

     The proposal shall be signed by the full name and business address of each person or company interested in same; shall be accompanied by a bid bond by a bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, or by a certified check on some solvent bank, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the proposal, the bid bond or certified check being payable to the City of Vandalia.

     The proposals must be made on forms provided therefore in the specification packet, or a copy thereof, with a price quoted for all equipment.  Bidders must specify service center location and include warranty term.  Envelopes should be marked “Cruiser Equipment Bid.”

     The City of Vandalia reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals; to waive any informality in the bidding; and to enter into contract with the bidder who in its consideration offered the lowest and best proposal.

     The City of Vandalia has a desire to award contracts involving City concerns and funded by City money, to individuals and businesses that are located within the City of Vandalia.  Where a preliminary analysis of the bids identifies a bid from a Vandalia individual or business, city council may give a preference to the Vandalia bid and award the contract to the Vandalia bidder when:  (i) such bid is within 5% of the lowest bid price (for a low bid of $50,000 or less) or within 2% of the lowest bid price (for a low bid price over $50,000), and  (ii) but for the bid price, the Vandalia bid would otherwise be considered the lowest and best bid by the City in its normal evaluation procedures in deciding whether or not to award the contract.

 

All successful bidders must comply with Ohio House Bill 694 effective April 4, 2007.
