Spring cleaning? We can help!

With many of us taking advantage of warmer temperatures to do a little spring cleaning, we’re getting questions on the best ways to get rid of the resultant trash.

The good news is that you have many options to dispose of unwanted items with

no additional charge!

If the trash fits in your can, simply load it up and leave it out for collection on your regular trash pickup day. All trash must be in a trash can or trash bag for pickup.

If the items are too large, call Rumpke Waste, 461-0004, and let them know you have large items for pickup. You must call 72 hours prior to your regular trash pickup day. All upholstered furniture and mattresses must be covered in plastic before pickup.

Then, simply take them to the curb on your regular trash pickup day.

For specific questions regarding Rumpke pick-up policies, call 461-0004, extension 8755 for residential pick-up and  461-0004, extension 8756 for commercial pick-up.

IMPORTANT! Rumpke will not pick up household chemicals such as paint, varnishes, oil, pesticides, pool chemicals, household cleaners or paint thinners. These items must be taken to the Montgomery County Moraine Transfer Facility, 1001 Encrete Lane, Moraine, for disposal for a fee. Call 225-4999 for complete details.

Additionally, monthly bulk drop-offs are available the second Saturday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the city garage, 97 Clubhouse Way. These drop-offs are limited to limbs, brush and large construction materials. Please call 415-2349 for additional information.
