Private Complaint

If an officer or agency is unable to determine, at the scene, whether or not the facts presented meet the elements necessary to prosecute a specific charge, the matter may be referred to a prosecutor for further review to determine if charges may be filed.
The prosecutor normally sees private complainants on Friday at 11:00 a.m.
You are required to have a copy of the Police Report with you if it has not already been sent to the Court by the agency that issued the report. (See “Links” page for police department information.)
