Senior Center
Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, the Vandalia Senior Citizens Center is one of the busiest and most active centers in the region dedicated to the needs of those 55 years of age and older. With special interest clubs for a wide range of hobbies, educational opportunities through Sinclair Community College, a travel club, special interest informational seminars, and a low-cost transportation program, there's always something happening at the Senior Citizens Center.

Winter Closing Policy
The Senior Center's winter closing policy is aligned with the Vandalia-Butler School District. If Vandalia-Butler Schools are closed due to inclement weather, the Senior Center will also be closed and Van Tran will not transport anyone. If the schools are on a delay, the Center will be open. If the schools are on a delay in the evening, be sure to recheck the news in the morning because sometimes the schools change the status to "closed" if the weather becomes worse. When schools are not in session, the City will determine whether or not the Center will open and will put closing information on the Weather Hotline at 937-552-2200. We only update our Weather Hotline when cancellations have been made. We encourage you not to drive to the Senior Center when the weather/road conditions are not favorable.
