Teen Introduction to Pickleball 

Thursday, June 30, 9am - 10am, 10am -11am, 11am - 12pm 

The popularity of pickleball has soared in recent years among beginners looking for a new activity that's challenging and exciting. As in all sports, nobody begins at an expert level. Pickleball combines tennis, table tennis, and badminton; and it's so much fun! If you've never played pickleball before, start out on the right foot with one of our beginner clinics. 

You will learn the basics of the game and will be shown the various strokes needed to play. After the explanations, you will have an opportunity to try out the various skills used during a game. Each participant will have an “experienced coach” to help you learn how to play the game. You will be on a court with 3 other players and will practice hitting the pickleball as your coach gives you pointers. 

Cost: FREE 

Ages: 13 - 17 years old 

Location: Helke Park Pickleball Courts 

Sessions: There are 3 session times available; 9am - 10am, 10am -11am, 11am - 12pm

Michael Seaman, a retired Northmont counselor, will be the Clinic Supervisor. Michael coordinates the Vandalia Pickleball Association and has played the sport regularly for the last eight years. 

Send in your registration soon as the first 24 applicants will be scheduled onto ONE of the three morning sessions.
