We are changing our look!
The City of Vandalia is unveiling a new brandmark and logo as part of an overall strategy to align the City’s brand and image with the qualities that set us apart from the rest of the region.
Since the beginning of the year, we have been working with a firm, Kolar Design, to help us convey a newly defined message and image to residents, businesses, and visitors alike.
We held a visioning workshop and stakeholder meetings where Kolar Design took the members through a process to determine what sets Vandalia apart from other communities, and then set about visually communicating those unique attributes. Committee members described Vandalia as a connected community of welcoming people with vibrant amenities that are all accessible in a place to call home.
With our defining qualities determined, Kolar Design set about the task of communicating those properties graphically. The result is a new brandmark, a new civic identity, and a newly defined message.

The three lines on the “V” symbolize our brand positioning as a Connected, Vibrant, Accessible Vandalia. Our new tagline speaks to the opportunities for personal and professional growth.
