Vandalia residents have options when it comes to disposing of yard waste. They may take the waste to the City’s Public Works facility on the on the second saturday of March – October from 8 a.m. to Noon. They may also take brush, limbs and trees that are smaller than 12 inches in diameter to BR Mulch, 620 Ginghamsburg Road, Tipp City. Those using this free service must show proof of residency. Vandalia boasts one of only five “Excellent” rated school districts in Montgomery County. In all of Ohio, in fact, only a very small percentage of districts reach the level of accomplishment necessary for that distinction.

In the summer, Cassel Hills Swimming Pool keeps kids cool when the temperatures go up.Vandalia is home to Cassel Hills Golf Course, recently named one of the “100 Must Play Courses in Ohio” by Golf Styles magazine.
