Types of Information We Collect

The information we gather is either personal information (for example, your name and address) that you voluntarily supply when you register or initiate transactions, or passive information gathered on usage patterns and preferences as visitors navigate the website, use our services such as e-mail, or read our e-mail newsletters.

Browser Level Passive Information and IP Addresses

Our web server automatically collects limited passive information about your computer configuration when you visit our website, including the type of browser you use, the operating system you are running, the resolution of your computer monitor, the website that referred you, and your IP address. Your IP address is a number that is used by computers connected to the Internet to identify your computer so that data such as the web pages you want to view can be transmitted to you. We use IP address information for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes.

Public Information

Take Note that certain information on our site will be available to the public Please keep in mind that our communities are public spaces, so don't post anything that you don't want the world to see. Credit card numbers, product keys, and other confidential information, including anything covered under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), should not be posted to any blogs, discussions, or other public areas.

City of Vandalia Mobile App – My Vandalia

The City of Vandalia is using SeeClickFix, an online and mobile service request system, to power its My Vandalia mobile app and reporting forms. It also uses Civicplus to help us optimize our digital interactions for our residents and staff. SeeClickFix is an application that allows Vandalia citizens to report non-emergency-related issues. SeeClickFix can be used via the Web on a desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, or tablet. SeeClickFix is a public application. The description entered will be visible to the public. Your display name will also be visible unless you choose to submit as Anonymous. Your email address will never be displayed publicly. Our site is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect or use any personal information from such children.  If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will make reasonable efforts to delete such information from our database.  

This Privacy Policy is subject exclusively to the laws of the State of Ohio in the United States. This site is designed for use by residents of the City of Vandalia Ohio. We make no representation that this policy and our practices comply with the laws of any other state or country.  Users of the site who reside outside the United States do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, if and to the extent local laws are applicable.  If you reside outside of the United States, by using the site, you consent to the transfer, processing and use of your information outside your country.
