Residents, members and guests of Cassel Hills pool. We apologize for the closing of the pool this coming Saturday.
This season, we employed more lifeguards than we have ever before.
With colleges now on semesters and high schools starting classes prior to Labor Day we have found ourselves unable to safely staff both Cassel Hills pool and the Vandalia Recreation Center pool.
Besides colleges beginning at this time of year, family vacations, fall sports, band, and other school activities begin to come into the picture at the end of the summer for the staff.
Our planning at the beginning of the year has not come to fruition. We apologize again for the inconvenience that this has caused pass holders. We are doing everything possible to staff both facilities safely.
Your Cassel Hills pass will be honored at the Vandalia Recreation Center pool on Saturday, August 24.
Closed - Residents, members and guests: please note that Cassel Hills Pool will be closed all day on Saturday, August 24, due to a shortage of lifeguard staff. We will reopen on Sunday, August 25 at 11:30am.
The Vandalia Recreation Center’s Pool is open on Saturday, August 24 from 11:30am-6:30pm.
