Jeffers Park is a neighborhood park that contains a play structure, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, and an abundance of green space. This park is also home to the Community Gardens.

Jeffers Park and the Community Gardens are open to the public and follows the Vandalia Parks and Recreation Park Rules and Regulations (PDF).

Community Gardens

If you have more “green thumb” than “green yard,” the Community Garden is for you! Registration opens to the public on March 1. The City of Vandalia is offering Residents an opportunity to reserve one of 22 available plots in the City's Community Garden, on a first come, first served basis. There is a $25 registration fee for each 15' x 20' plot. Growing season is May 1 through October 31.
