Scott Jacobs is the Division of Fire Community Risk Reduction Coordinator. Scott is a Wayne High School graduate. Scott holds several state and national certifications and has been involved in the fire/EMS service for nearly 20 years. Scott actually started his fire/EMS career with the City of Vandalia in 2002, Scott served as a paid-on call firefighter/EMT and Lieutenant. Scott left Vandalia in 2014 to pursue other career opportunities. Scott has worked as the safety manager and warehouse coordinator for Staffco Construction, as the Safety and Training Manager for the Medical Center at St. Elizabeth Place in Dayton, and as a part-time firefighter/EMT for Harrison Township. Scott went to the City of Dayton Fire Department in 2017 where he worked a Fire Prevention Specialist and Public Information Officer. Scott left his employment with Dayton in late 2020 to “come home” to Vandalia as the Community Risk Coordinator.
In Scott's off time he enjoys playing music with his band and spending time with his friends and family camping. Scott lives in Vandalia with his wife Candice and their son Gavin.
