Tips Before You Visit:

-The Vandalia Recreation Center Aquatic Center closes during thunderstorms. Please call the VRC Front Desk if you have questions about hours: (937)415-2340

-The Vandalia Recreation Center does not offer cash refunds.

-The Vandalia Aquatic Center is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-8:00pm for swim lessons.

-You must bring your own towel to the Aquatic Center.

-Please look up pool rules and proper swim attire rules before visiting.

Vandalia Recreation Center Aquatic Center

The Vandalia Parks and Recreation Department offers a year-round schedule of aquatic programs for all ages. Whether you are looking for swim instruction, lap swimming, or water fitness programs, the Vandalia Recreation Center has something for you! The Vandalia Recreation Center (VRC) Aquatic Center features a zero-depth entry, a leisure pool containing several interactive activities, and features for all ages. For those patrons wanting to make a splash, try a ride down our twisting water slide. The vortex and bubble bench features are perfect for those patrons with fitness or therapeutic needs in mind. In addition, our lap lanes provide the perfect area for many of our programs, drop-in recreational swimming or lap swimming. All these exciting features and facilities make the Vandalia Recreation Center the perfect fit for your Aquatic needs.

SwimSafe - Aquatic Staffing Services

The City entered into an Aquatics Staffing Services Agreement with SwimSafe Pool Management, Inc., in 2020. As part of the Agreement, SwimSafe provides comprehensive pool management, including staffing and supervision of Cassel Hills Pool and the Vandalia Recreation Center. The City's expectations are that SwimSafe provides a safe environment that affords visitors the opportunity to enjoy a positive swimming experience. If you recognize anything that our City's Parks & Recreation Department should be aware of, we encourage you to contact our Facility Manager, Alicia McCracken.

We have Men's, Women's and Family locker rooms for showering and changing.  We have locker rentals available, contact the VRC Front Desk for more information.
